Inaugurating this new section of our blog, in which we’re going to share some of the new brands we spot and seem really innovative and inspiring, we have CAVALIER.
Angela Chong and Perry Lam are the Singapore married couple at the front of the brand, designing adults and kid’s clothes lines with the same funny, fresh and unique style. CAVALIER debuted with a children’s line of apparel and soon they got a large number of people asking for adult sizes, so they decided to develop also all their designs for men and woman lines.
Their philosophy is clear: each piece is something that they would love to wear themselves so it could be made in all sizes. A piece you can’t miss: their iconic dress “the Pasche” a tribute to English designer John Pasche, creator of the Rolling Stones logo.
Their last collection AW17 “The Wild Ones”, this original and cool brand transform their clothes in wild creature’s suits, combining and mixing light weight fabrics with faux fur, classic fits with details as paw-shaped pockets or sleeves that turn into colourful wings.
CAVALIERE always creates attractive silhouettes, with asymmetrical sleeves, A shaped dresses, wide-legged trousers and capes. They create fun, comfortable and functional garments that are meant to be a design statement.
